October 8, 2017 (Oswego, NY) – 2016 King Of Dirt Racing Sportsman champion Connor Cleveland arrived in Oswego for Super Dirt week and hit the track running for practice. After day 1 Connor found himself 3rd fastest overall, which wasn’t a bad way to start off racing’s biggest party.
He time trialed 7th fastest with a lap of 22.784 for an average speed of 98.754 MPH. It didn’t lock him in, but it put him in great position starting outside pole in the 2nd 15 lap qualifier Friday night, which he would win locking him in to the Chevy Performance 75 on Sunday.
When the green flag dropped in the Chevy Performance 75 for DIRTcar Sportsman at Super Dirt Week Sunday, Connor Cleveland went to work. He’d battle with RD3, Rocky Warner, and eventually make his way up to 3rd where he’d finish. From the moment he unloaded, Connor continued to get faster at Super Dirt Week and it concluded with a podium finish.
