August 19, 2018 (West Lebanon, NY) – Every season the King Of Dirt Racing tours visit the high banks of Lebanon Valley Speedway for a pair of races back-to-back and this year is no different. This Saturday August 25th the full-fender tour takes to the valley of speed for Pro Stock action followed one week later by the ever-popular Mr. Crate Track USA on Saturday September 1st.
The KOD Pro Stock tour heads to Lebanon Valley with a tightly contested point battle for a 30-lap throw down for the crown presented by Meltz Lumber. Jason Casey doesn’t just lead the points at his home track, but he’s also the point leader on tour by a single digit over Chuck Dumblewski headed to the valley.
Not to far behind Casey and Dumblewski sits Jon Routheir, who is locked in a battle not only to climb up, but also to defend his spot from friend and fellow competitor Rich Crane who is only two points back in 4th. Rounding out the top five is last years winner at Lebanon Valley on the Pro Stock tour, Jay Casey.
With the epic full-fender battles of years past, such as Corbin-Sanchez and Casey-Routhier, anything is possible on the high banks of Lebanon Valley Speedway during a full-fender throw down for the crown fans won’t want to miss.
One week later the popular Mr. Crate Track USA KOD Sportsman Series event takes to the high banks, as a companion race to the Super DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series Mr. Dirt Track USA event. While it doesn’t pay $25,000 to win like the mighty mod race does, it still hosts a plethora of talent ready to battle for the right to wear the event crown for the next 365 days.
Michael Sabia has claimed the Mr. Crate Track USA title twice (2015, 2017), while Scott Duell earned the title once (2016). Former KOD tour winner at Lebanon Valley Jeff Watson is expected to return from hiatus for one event to challenge for the title of Mr. Crate Track USA.
Connor Cleveland will head to Lebanon Valley as the Andy’s Speed Shop King Of Dirt Racing Sportsman Modified Series point leader over 2018 Fonda Speedway track champion Chad Edwards in the chase to be king. David Schilling currently sits 4th in points, while 2-time feature winner on the high banks in 2018 Rob Maxon rounds out the top five.
Every season the valley swing changes the landscape of the championship chase. 2018 will be no exception, as hosts of top tour talents collide with high bank regulars looking to defend home turf. It’ll be a throw down for the crown to decide who takes one step closer to being crown king in the fall.
