Bobby Varin Heads To Super Dirt Week A 358 Modified King Ready To Battle For His Team & Fans So They Can Experience The Joy Of Winning

October 1, 2018 (Fonda, NY) – Super Dirt Week 2018 is finally here and with it brings an exciting new year of KOD at SDW. The ‘Dirty Dozen’ features drivers from the King Of Dirt Racing tours who are competing at Super Dirt Week. Part one of the Race Pro Weekly exclusive will visit Bobby Varin, Connor Cleveland, Jason Casey, and Marc Johnson who are ready to tackle the ‘clay palace’ during racing’s biggest party. Let’s start things off today with the recently crowned king of the 358 Modified tour and champion at Fonda Speedway, Bobby Varin.

Bobby Varin is no stranger to any race fan who doesn’t live under a rock. We’ll skip the sometimes yawn inducing questions and just tell you he’s a winner, a champion, and now a king. He’s won a gazillion races (figuratively speaking) and has like 20 championships (okay more like ten track titles and a couple ROC series accolades), but this season Varin threw down for the crown and came out a Small Block Modified king.

Varin made his first appearance on the KOD 358 Modified tour back in July of 2017 where he started 31st and finished 10th with a W-16 powered Small Block. Since then he went on a tear winning three consecutive KOD tour events including a pair to end 2017 (Malta/Fonda) and one to open 2018 (Devil’s Bowl). He fended off all challengers to claim the crown and earn bragging rights as a 358 champion heading into Super Dirt Week at the clay palace in Oswego.

“My first Super Dirt Week was in 1994, but my best finish was 3rd. This year we need to qualify first and foremost, which we should be able to do that. Anything can happen at dirt week though, but we’d be satisfied with a top 10 or a top five would be great. The ultimate goal is to win. I’ve been close before and it’d make the team and fans of mine feel good. That’s what makes me happy these days, winning for them not for myself,” said Bobby Varin on his Dirt Week goals.

With Super Dirt Week officially here this King Of Dirt Racing exclusive through Race Pro Weekly featuring the ‘Dirty Dozen’ continues today with 2-time King Of Dirt Sportsman Modified champion Connor Cleveland.
