Demetrios Drellos Storms Into Super Dirt Week Looking For Solid Runs In Both 358 Modified & Big Block Modified Events

October 2, 2018 (Fonda, NY) – Super Dirt Week 2018 is finally here and with it brings an exciting new year of King Of Dirt Racing ‘Dirty Dozen’ drivers headed to the clay palace. KOD at SDW is powered by Race Pro Weekly exclusively and features full articles through the digital media giant, however we’ve broken down the news into individual driver info blasts for your reading pleasure. To read full article click the link to Race Pro Weekly below in the comments. Let’s conclude today’s part 2 with KOD tour winner and Devil’s Bowl Speedway 358 Champion, Demetrios Drellos.

Demetrios Drellos is a lightning rod for fans around the Capital District. Whether it’s to praise or scold the young Modified wheel man doesn’t matter a one bit, because he’s still smiling all the way to victory lane. Matter of fact he out dueled a red-hot Bobby Varin and former Sportsman Modified Goliath Rocky Warner to earn his first career King Of Dirt Racing 358 Modified tour win at Devil’s Bowl Speedway earlier this summer to the delight of everyone in victory lane.

The KOD tour award winner also visited victory lane this year for the first time in his career at the track of champions driving the Nelson Family Racing number 85. Drellos looks to take the Oswego Dirt Week challenge with both his 358 and Big Block Modified Bicknell racecars carried around the clay palace by Billy The Kid horsepower. A win during racing’s biggest party would mean the world to a young man doing all he can to make his father proud.

“We’ve only raced dirt week a couple times in the past with one being at the mile and one at Oswego. I’d love to finish top 10 in the Camping World 150 for 358 Modifieds and at least qualify to run mid pack competitively with the Big Block, but honestly my favorite part of the experience is being with my family and friends for a week doing what we love to do, which is racing,” said Drellos when asked what he thought his Super Dirt Week expectations were.

With Super Dirt Week officially here this King Of Dirt Racing exclusive through Race Pro Weekly featuring the ‘Dirty Dozen’ continues tomorrow with part three. We will take a look at the final four KOD tour drivers headed to Oswego including Allison Ricci, David Schilling, Robert Bublak Jr., and Jon Routhier.
