October 2, 2018 (Oswego, NY) – Super Dirt Week early bird inspections continued throughout the day, which indicates the first race car activities of the week in Oswego. Many drivers passed through the ‘room of doom’ today including 2018 King Of Dirt 358 Modified Champion Bobby Varin who found himself at the mercy of DIRTcar tech inspectors who welcomed him with some changes the Palmer Racing team would have to make.
DIRTcar emphasis was on teams attempting to keep windows strait to help corning at the clay palace. Per Race Pro Weekly sources in the tech tent windows were a concern on the Palmer’s Service Center number 76. The team would also have to address side skirts on the rear quarters, as they appeared a bit too long. All adjustments were made and the team passed through tech without further issues.
Varin is now ready to take on dirt racings best at Super Dirt Week in both the Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux 200 for Big Block Modifieds and the Camping World 150 for 358 Modifieds.
