Inspection Day Story Lines: Drellos One Of Many Drivers Forced To Adjust Roof Angles To Pass Through Tech ‘Room Of Doom’

October 2, 2018 (Oswego, NY) – Super Dirt Week early bird inspections continued throughout the afternoon, which indicates the first racecar activities of the week in Oswego. Many drivers had troubles in the ‘room of doom’ today including 2018 King Of Dirt 358 Modified tour winner and Devil’s Bowl Speedway 358 Champion Demetrios Drellos who had some troubles on the roof angle of one of his race rods.

DIRTcar appeared to have an emphasis on keeping roof angles level rather than tilting up where it meets the windows. Some say this helps with down force, which can create extra forward bite and speed. Drellos had to make minor adjustments to his roof angle and cleared through the tech tent without further issues.

The young Modified pilot is now ready to take on dirt racings best at Super Dirt Week in both the Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux 200 for Big Block Modifieds and the Camping World 150 for 358 Modifieds.
