Marc Johnson Solidly Qualifies For Both Billy Whitaker 200 For Big Block Modified & Camping World 150 For 358 Modified At Super Dirt Week

October 6, 2018 (Oswego, NY) – Marc Johnson patiently waited out the weather at Super Dirt Week just itching to hit the clay palace running. A long day turned into a solid night for the former King Of Dirt Racing Modified champion, as he qualified for both the Small Block and Big Block events in Oswego for Super Dirt Week 47.

Qualifying efforts were solid for the Albany Saratoga Speedway ace, as he timed 22nd fastest out of 70 Big Block Modifieds with a lap of 21.537. He’d be a tick faster in time trials for the 358 Modified Small Block division turning a lap of 21.419, which was good for 18th fastest out of 69 drivers.

In his Big Block Modified qualifier the ‘white knight’ found himself battling with the uber popular Tim McCreadie, the ‘machine gun’ Billy Dunn, and familiar face Kenny Tremont Jr. before settling in for a 10th place finish respectively locking himself into the Billy Whitaker Cars & Trux 200.

In 358 Modified Small Block qualifying action, Marc found himself racing with another familiar face in the form of Brett ‘the jet’ Hearn and former Sportsman Modified standout Louie Jackson Jr. Johnson would finish where he stared in 6th, but more importantly locked himself into the Camping World 150 on Saturday where he’ll start 18th at the drop of the green.
