David Schilling Unloaded A Bad Fast Sportsman At Super Dirt Week; After Struggling In Practice He Turned Top Six Time At Oswego Locking Him In For Sunday

October 7, 2018 (Oswego, NY) – Dirty Dozen driver David Shilling may very well be having the easiest time for King Of Dirt Racing tour drivers at Super Dirt Week. It didn’t come easy during racing’s biggest party, as he went from loading up to unloading on the field at the big ‘O’ in Oswego, NY. At the end of the day he parked his 1-800-GOT-JUNK Bicknell in the Chevy Performance 75 on Sunday.

The ‘Showstopper’ unloaded and hit the track for practice turning the 63rd fastest lap, which left the team scrambling to make changes and find speed. When Schilling hit the track for time trials he laid down a lap of 22.407 good enough for 6th fastest overall out of 92 competitors. That locked David into starting in the top six for Sunday’s Chevy Performance 75 at Super Dirt week.

He’d elect to go out for practice behind his qualifying event, as that option is available to drivers locked in by time to the top six starting spots. After a lap one wreck that included five cars happened just in front of the number 20, he decided to take it to the pits and avoid getting caught up in any sort of trouble before Sunday’s big race.

All eyes will be on the King Of Dirt Racing Sportsman tour feature winner and top five runner, as he will fire from the 6th starting position behind some stout competition. Time will tell if he leads the Dirty Dozen Sportsman Modified competitors at Super Dirt week.
