Honorable Mention Chuck Dumblewski Leads KOD Pro Stock Regulars At SDW; Jay Casey Leads ‘Dirty Dozen’ Full Fender Drivers In Qualifying For Sunday

October 7, 2018 (Oswego, NY) – NAPA Auto Parts Super Dirt Week doesn’t afford a lot of track time to the full-fender Pro Stock division, but King Of Dirt Racing tour winner Chuck Dumblewski took advantage of that limited track time to crank out a THE fastest lap. He’ll fire from the pole starting position in Sunday’s DIRTcar Pro Stock 50-lap Championship in Oswego.

Chucky unloaded at Oswego not technically a member of the ‘Dirty Dozen’ drivers, but as part of the honorable mentions it’s worth noting his success. He turned a lap of 24.370 good for 1st overall out of 40 drivers who attempted to qualify for the big dance on Sunday. That’s where he’ll start, as Pro Stocks do not get to run qualifying events at Super Dirt Week.

The first King Of Dirt at Super Dirt Week ‘Dirty Dozen’ driver on the time trial results list was KOD award winning tour driver Jay Casey. The tour winner turned a lap of 24.652, which landed the senior pilot from Canaan, CT in the 11th starting position for Sunday’s DIRTcar Pro Stock 50-lap Championship in Oswego.

Jon Routhier had a solid season on the King Of Dirt Racing Pro Stock tour finishing 3rd in points, which put him in the ‘Dirty Dozen’ headed to Super Dirt Week. When he got on the track for time trials he managed a lap of 24.792 good for 17th fastest overall, which is where he’ll start Sunday for the DIRTcar Pro Stock 50-lap Championship.

King Of Dirt Racing Pro Stock Champion Jason Casey doesn’t have the starting position he’d like, but it wouldn’t be the first time he started deep and drove to the front. He laid down a lap of 24.872 good for the 20th overall fastest time, which is about mid pack. He’ll start there and have plenty of time to work his way forward in the DIRTcar Pro Stock 50-lap Championship at Super Dirt Week Sunday.
