Chuck Dumblewski Earns 3rd Most Popular Driver Award After Up And Down Season

November 25, 2018 (Fonda, NY) – Chuck Dumblewski was a perennial title contender until a strike of bad luck dropped him to 5th in the final standings respectively. Heading into the Fall Madness Most Popular Driver Tournament he’d look to earn another tour accolade and did just that becoming a 3-time Pro Stock Most Popular Driver.

Dumblewski’s path to a 3rd consecutive Most Popular driver award was simple; his fan base needed to propel him past three competitors into the Finals for the win. His first challenge was to earn enough support to get past one of the Canaan Connecticut contingent, Jon Routhier.

In his Divisional Round Match Up Dumblewski earned 67% of the votes cast thanks to his nation of orange fans that showed out to vote. This moved him past Routhier and into the Final Four where he’d be paired against a quietly popular driver in Jay Casey.

Two KOD tour award-winning drivers facing off in a Final Four Match Up had a ring to it, but the senior Casey saw the strength of ‘Chucky D’s’ following. Dumblewski would earn 56% of the vote in a closer contest, but it was enough to propel him into the Finals.

The Finals would be the closest contest Dumblewski would face during the Fall Madness Most Popular Driver tournament. His opponent was another Canaan Connecticut resident and tour champion Jason Casey. In the early stages it appeared Casey had the backing to earn the award, but it was a matter of time before Dumblewski fans showed up.

In the closing stages of the contest Dumblewski saw his following propel him past Casey and into the lead, which he would hold until time ran out on voting. He’d end with 55% of the vote compared to Casey’s 45%, which meant Chucky was now a three time consecutive Most Popular Pro Stock driver on the King Of Dirt Racing full fender tour.

“Listen it’s a fun way to get the fans interacting with the series page and we get quite the turnout for it even if they’re only there to click a picture. For the driver, they get a huge amount of publicity. Chucky has a huge following for a quiet guy and that speaks volumes for his off track demeanor. But he’s got a little spunk in him don’t be fooled. Congrats to him and his entire team on another year of being the most popular Pro Stock squad,” said KOD Promoter Rob Hazer.
