Kyle Dingman and Taylor Wason Earn Limited Wins; Join Chris Crane Jr On Top Of Current Point Standings

April 26, 2022 – Fair Haven, VT – Limited Sportsman Points Update: For the first time in series history, King Of Dirt Racing is offering drivers an opportunity to throw down for a Limited Sportsman crown. The battle is already hot and heavy, as Kyle Dingman and Taylor Wason joined Chris Crane Jr. at the top of the scoreboard after racing action this past weekend.

It’s early in the season, so it can’t be stressed enough that if a driver hasn’t had a chance to race yet they are not behind in points. Currently KOD points are only reflecting registered driver’s best single race finish. Once all registered competitors have raced once, the standings will reflect a driver’s best two finishes. It works this way until all drivers progress to their best 12 finishes.

Each week we feature the top three KOD Limited Sportsman competitors from the weekend during the points update. Let’s start with Taylor Wason from Albany-Saratoga Speedway, who picked up a win driving his Lenihan Paving – Lake Auto Parts number 07 Troyer. His win moved him up the standings for the time being and is his first official KOD credited victory.

Kyle Dingman opened his season at Fonda Speedway this past Sunday night in a big way. He chased down a win taking the lead in the closing laps driving his Early Bird’s Diner – Dixie Saloon number 1D Bicknell. He’s looking for two tickets to title town this season, one for his home track and one where the kings hang out. IT’s his first official KOD credited victory.

Our third and final featured Limited driver of the week is Ron Delease Jr. He leaped up the leaderboard after posting a 4th place finish at the great race place Friday night. This topped his previous finish at Albany-Saratoga, which was 25th. Significant improvement for the driver of the Classic Muscle Parts – Timberline Café number 116 Teo.

LIMITED SPORTSMAN KOD NOTES: Registration is still open for driver who wish to participate in King Of Dirt Racing for the 2022 season. Currently only Albany-Saratoga and Fonda Speedway’s have had full racing cards for Limited Sportsman. Other drivers to have better finishes their second week out at Albany-Saratoga were Michael Arnold (6th) and Dakota Green (11th). The only other registered KOD competitor from Fonda Speedway is Zach Dufel who overcame adversity and a deep starting spot to finish 9th Saturday night.
