Tyler Corcoran Led All KOD Competitors With Not One But Two Wins This Weekend; Two Dozen New Drivers Have Earned Series Points

May 9, 2022 – Fair Haven, VT – Overall Points Update: Airborne, Brewerton, Can-Am, Devil’s Bowl, and Land of Legends all had their first races of the season this past weekend opening the flood gates for drivers to earn Fastline Performance King Of Dirt Racing Series points. Tyler Corcoran took full advantage winning at both his Friday and Saturday night home tracks.

It’s early in the season, and KOD continues to stress some drivers home tracks have not opened yet. The scoreboard currently shows a drivers best SINGLE RACE finish. Once Brockville, Cornwall, Humberstone, and Mohawk open the series beings adding best finishes until each driver gets to 12. With multiple tracks opening this past weekend there were nearly 24 new drivers earning points.

Each week we feature the top three KOD competitors from the weekend during the points update. Top performer this week has to be Central Square, NY driver Tyler Corcoran who won at both Can-Am and Land Of Legends. While the finishes can’t be combined in his Overall point standings, the Halmar International – DTD Tv number 64 Bicknell driver had himself a weekend.

Here’s a three-piece for race fans, as Beau Ballard, Cody Mcpherson, and Payton Talbot opened their season with back-to-back wins at their respective tracks which include Merrittville (Mcpherson) and Utica Rome (Ballard and Talbot). Ballard drove his Pizza Plus Manimal chassis, Mcpherson drove his Willard Concrete & Trucking Bicknell, and Talbot drove his Precision Hydraulic & Oil Higfab.

Third and final highlight is another crop of drivers that leapt onto the scoreboard including Kim Duell, Mike Fowler, and Nick Guererri. Duell does his work at Albany-Saratoga and picked up a win in his Curtis Lumber Twister chassis. Fowler throws down at Can-Am in his Donath Motorworx Bicknell, and Guererri battles weekly at Land Of Legends driving his Phelps Cement Products Bicknell. All three of these drivers led a plethora of competitors that came in hot.
